Immunizations: Tetanus
Tetanus (lockjaw) is caused by a germ that enters the body through a cut or wound. It causes serious, painful spasms of all muscles and can cause the jaw to lock shut preventing eating and swallowing.
It is recommended that adults receive a Tetanus booster every 10 years.
