Functional Capacity
Functional Capacity tests the working function of the lungs. The Healthy Achievers functional capacity test measures the amount of air exhaled over a period of time. The purpose of functional capacity is to screen for pulmonary obstruction and/or restriction which is often indicative of disease in the lungs. Primary results given back include VC (vital capacity), a measurement of total lung volume and FEV1 (forced expiratory volume in the first second) which measures the force of the lungs.

This screening is extremely important in populations consistently exposed to unhealthy air such as smokers, factory workers, fire fighters, mine workers or any job that requires the use of strong chemicals. The participants will walk away with there results immediately following the test.
